Recent work matters more than lifetime totals. Some companies with thousands of wells on record haven't completed one in over a decade — a conventional directory would still list them first. Sort by the 2016–26 column to see who's genuinely working in your county now.
Median depth tells you what kind of work they take. A company whose median well is 30 feet is mostly doing monitoring and geotechnical holes, not domestic water wells.
